4 Day Workshop

This Art class is about exploration, thinking outside the box, stepping away from routine, and expressing your creativity in a new way. A kid’s class for adults.
In this class we will work our way to Abstraction. We will approach compositions with purpose using the principles and elements of design. We will explore materials using different techniques
and other water media finding out just how far we can push a painting. Some prior knowledge of drawing and painting will be an asset.
Students may work in the medium of their choice.

Suggested Material List:

- 3 (three) 140 lb. gessoed watercolour paper
- sheets (22×30) or similar. Do NOT gesso if you are using Watercolour.
Brushes: One inch Flat, 3/4 or 1/2 inch Flat,
- 10 Round, and no.6 Round Liner for detail.
- Synthetic brushes better, hold more water.
- Plastic palette knife or credit card.
Paints: Bring what you have or buy the best student grade paints you can afford.
- Have some primaries with black and white.
- A more comprehensive list will be discussed in class.
Other: A palette, Kleenex or paper towel, black China marker, two water soluble crayons (any colour), and a spray bottle will be required.
