Five Weeks
Learn basic hand sewing techniques and create a variety of small plush characters! In this course, character designer and fabric artist Kami Goertz will teach students the skills required to start making their own one-of-a-kind “soft action figures”.
Start with building a number of pre-designed projects to gain an understanding of sewing techniques, how to install safety eyes, design process and decoration. Then design a unique character and build it using the techniques learned. Take home a small huggable plush of your own design!
Note: This class will require manual dexterity and an enthusiasm to learn, but no previous sewing experience is needed. All materials will be provided.
