Learn the fundamentals and give shape to your clay projects!
In this class ceramicist Mary Ann Talbot, outlines the beginning steps of shape making on the pottery wheel.
Learn important behaviours of clay and its properties in order to create works successfully. Focus primarily on the creation of mugs and bowls; crucial steps to beginning your wheel journey! Glazing and other design elements will also be taught throughout the course. This course is great for beginners with no experience, or those looking for a complete refresher on the pottery wheel.
Note: This course follows a guided curriculum designed for true beginners and is not suitable for intermediate potters or those looking to work independently.
Class Fee: $330
Please note, supplies are not provided for adult classes (unless explicitly stated so).

Materials can be purchased locally at The Sounding Stone.
Note: Your instructor will review our firing volume limits during your first class and help students visualize their volume limit for the nine-week session.
Due to a scheduled firing week, there will be no clay class on June 11
