Discover the vibrant world of alcohol inks and take home original art! In this course with artist and instructor Patti Fernie, learn about the basics of alcohol ink, its properties and how to use this interesting medium to create original work.

Discuss surfaces to use and experiment with several types. View demonstrations on a variety of tools and techniques used to create different visual effects and textures. Practice different skills together and create many effects that can be used in your own pieces

Instructor Pattie Fernie will instruct students through her ‘signature’ abstract landscape style – skies, ground, working in layers, etc and demo how to create ink flowers. The class will also explore heat gun work and make a couple of larger pieces in the final class.

*Supplies are not included for adult classes unless stated so. If you need assistance with supplies, please contact us before your class starts.

At least 5-6 different colours (of your choosing) of alcohol inks to start. (Ranger, Piñata, or Nara are good brands)
Alcohol ink blending fluid
Yupo paper (special paper for alcohol ink)
You may choose to purchase additional supplies as we work through the weekly classes and you discover personal preferences.
