In Acrylic Colour Theory Intensive with Zara Haque🔗 explore the foundations of colour through acrylic painting while building confidence with essential painting techniques. Learn how to mix and layer colour, create harmony and contrast, and understand the relationships between warm and cool tones, value, and saturation. Through guided exercises and creative painting projects, we will explore how colours interact, evoke emotions, and transform the mood and impact of an artwork while developing your own personal approach to painting.

Acrylic Paints (student or artist quality)
- Titanium White (large tube recommended)
- Cadmium Yellow Light or Primary Yellow (Cool Yellow)
- Cadmium Yellow Medium (Warm Yellow)
- Quinacridone Magenta or Primary Magenta (Cool Red)
- Cadmium Red Light or Naphthol Red (Warm Red)
- Phthalo Blue (Green Shade) or Primary Cyan (Cool Blue)
- Ultramarine Blue (Warm Blue)
- (Optional: Burnt Umber or Mars Black for value studies)
Acrylic Brushes
Palette Knife (for mixing paint)
Painting Knives

- Disposable palette paper, plastic palette, or ceramic plate
- Sta-Wet Palette (optional but highly recommended to keep acrylics from drying out)
- DIY Sta-Wet Palette ( Demo in class)
Paper Towels or Rags

Sketchbook/ Mixed Media Pad/ Watercolour pad
Canvas Pad (not paper)/ Canvas Board/ Stretched Canvas
