Ten Weeks

Learn the fundamentals of pottery, from shaping basic forms to exploring more intricate designs. Elise Nadeau 🔗 encourages students to focus on creativity and experimentation in design, while refining their skills and attention to detail.​

Whether you’re a complete beginner or have dabbled in pottery before, this 10-week course is an excellent opportunity for you to explore your artistic potential and develop your skills on the wheel. 

Join us as we shape, mold, and create together in this immersive and transformative pottery experience!

Suggested Material List:

  • Kemper tool kit (basics)​
  • Disposable face masks
  • Fettling Knife​/pin tool
  • Rubber or wooden stamps, buttons, lace, anything you can find that has an interesting texture.
  • Scoring Tool (Serrated Rib or Other)​
  • Old Hand Towel and Apron​
  • 1 box of Cone 6 Clay, tucker 6-50 or B-Mix with or without grog​
  • Cone 6 glazes (We have some, but you can also pick up some too)

Materials can be purchased locally at The Sounding Stone.

Note: Your instructor will review our firing volume limits during your first class. Instructors will have bins to help students visualize their volume limit for the ten-week session. If you want to purchase a bin or bring one from home, please aim for these dimensions when choosing your bin: 56x39x28 cm/45 l (22×15 ¼x11 “/12 gallon) – about half the volume of a mini fridge.
