10 weeks
This ten-week course with Desiree Mendoza 🔗 is ideal for those who’ve tried watercolours before and are ready to pick up their brushes again – whether it’s been a while or you’re simply looking for a fresh inspiration. With the addition of ink, we’ll explore how structure and fluidity can come together beautifully in your artworks. Our weekly in-class projects and guided homework will use a variety of subjects such as urban landscape, still life, and more – to help strengthen both technique and creative expression. While this course’s focus is on creative expression and experimentation, we’ll also revisit essential concepts such as colour theory, water control, and tonal value. Each weekly session blends skill-building with intuitive painting, helping you reconnect with the joy of the medium and discover new ways to express your artistic voice.
*Basic and intermediate knowledge of watercolours would be useful.
