September 16 to December 2, 2024
Ten Weeks
No class September 30th and October 14th

In this class, students can expect an interactive, playful and experimental approach to painting with watercolours. Jean Borbridge will guide students through a wide range of exercises to advance their painting practice in realism and abstraction, and develop their personal style. We will practice techniques such as wet on wet, variegated washes, graduated washes, blooms etc. Students will also learn skills to develop their art practice in any medium via instruction in colour theory, drawing, idea generation and picture making. In this, we will draw inspiration for our paintings from sources such as from life, pictures and collage. This class is suitable for beginners and intermediate watercolour painters.
