Nine Weeks
No class on June 8th

In this class, instructor Posy Legge 🔗 will share her love of watercolour and lead the class through watercolour basics, painting from photo references, and creating urban landscape paintings.

There will be focus on capturing light and colour, evoking mood and emotion, and experimenting with different watercolour techniques. Beginning with lyrical abstraction and ending with finished photo-based compositions, this class is designed for beginners, but all experience levels are welcome.

Students will develop skills and practices to apply beyond the class, including painting clouds and skies, “en plein air” painting, taking their own reference images, and fostering artistic voice and independence. The class will involve guided instruction, still life exercises, getting outside, and a final self-directed painting project.
