Ten Weeks
Explore how to use acrylic paints and discover the versatility of this amazing medium.
During this class, students begin by painting simple subjects using methods and skills they acquire through demonstrations. The course will expand student’s ability to render subjects as they learn about colour theory, negative/positive painting, value, line, shape making and much more.
David Cooper 🔗 creates a playful and encouraging environment that will allow you to explore, learn and have fun!
This class is also suitable for experienced students who want to work more independently on ideas and projects of their own.

Suggested Material List:
This is a generalized list of painting needs, if you have comparable materials you are using or want to try, bring them to class.
Tube paints: Alizarin Crimson, Cadmium Red Medium, Lemon Yellow, Cadmium Yellow Medium, Ultramarine, Cerulean Blue, Titanium White, and Ivory Black.
Other colours will be discussed in class.
Brushes: Synthetic. 1/2 and 3/4” Flats, #6 or #8 round brush and a #4 script brush
Palette: At least 12×12” glass, plastic, or sta-wet.
NOTE: Acrylic can be very hard on brushes, try not to spend more than $5 per brush.
